Meet the brains behind this blog!
Hi, I’m Rosa Childs, your friendly doctor and fitness enthusiast. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, I have always dreamt of helping people. Thus I became an Internal Medicine Physician. While I was striving hard to help my patients, my health went unnoticed. This is when I started taking charge of myself and thus became a fitness blogger.

Let’s dig deeper into my story-
I always love helping people out. But while taking care of everyone’s well-being, my health was going unnoticed. After a series of mental health breakdowns, getting physically sick, and navigating through stress and depression, I got a wake-up call — I needed to take my health seriously. I was advising patients to lead healthy lives but was not following that myself.
From then, I strictly started investing in myself: eating clean and on time; hydrating properly; waking up early to meditate and do yoga; journaling at the end of each day; managing stress; and getting quality sleep. I never went extreme; I started small and built upon it slowly. I started balancing work and taking care of myself. Grooving my body in ways I like, eating clean without it being boring, and keeping myself happy by doing things I like.
Although challenges like losing interest and chasing perfectionism hit my way, I continued to achieve my targets. This is when I decided to start my science-based fitness blog and build a community around it. Breaking down evidence-based health advice into chunks of practical strategies, debunking myths, and promoting a balanced approach to health, all while encouraging self-compassion.
